Credits rolled on Sea of Stars today! Also played a bit of Live A Live and Abathor with my mans!
Is your man as much of a gamer as you, Leo?
Kinda. He'll play one game for a thousand hours (Mortal Kombat) where I'll play a thousand games (some for just an hour).
He hasn't finished a fraction of the games I have.
It's a great second screen game.
I played it endlessly while having the tv on in the background.
Some Mudrunner tips:
If you look at the menu carefully before you enter a map, you can select the best vehicles for the job and not just use the default vehicles.
Going slow can be a pain on the accelerator finger, there is cruise control, click the stick in and roll.
Attaching trailers can be a pain, reverse fully back into the trailer, then inch forward and try to attach, repeat as necessary.
Reversing with a trailer can be difficult. Sometimes it's easier to winch the back of the trailer to a tree so you can reverse straight. Or just detach the trailer to reposition yourself.
Do the training missions first, especially the one where you winch and drive two trucks together. This is a good method for the game in general, driving in pairs, so one can save the other.
Last tip, don't try to drive through the central plain of the Bog level. It's hell.
Rumours suggest a new N.Direct this month.
Also have more switch 2 leaks, the system has a 60w charger for higher clock speeds and fast charging.
It also has a second cooler in the dock, suggesting it will push higher clocks in docked mode, higher than switch 1 does.
Also some industry insiders are saying devs who didn't expect the switch to be a success are now developing launch window games for switch 2. Paul Gale is saying there will be ports, remasters and also parelell releases with other system. Says he's "thrilled" about switch 2.
If you guys liked Mudrunner, you'll love Snowrunner.
Mudrunner is a 60hr game.
Snowrunner is a 230 hr game.
With all the dlc, Snowrunner is 1000 hrs or more. There's still dlc set for this year and next. It's more user friendly and a bit easier once you've upgraded your trucks.
For me that means Mudrunner > Snowrunner. I struggle to finish 20 hour games, the thought of starting a 200+ hour game would just paralyze me.
Asphalt Legends Unite Free Expansion Launches On Switch This Month
If you're keen for more arcade-style racing action on the Nintendo Switch, Gameloft has now confirmed Asphalt Legends Unite will arrive on the eShop later this month on 19th August.
This new expansion (which will see the free-to-play title Asphalt 9: Legends rebranded) was originally released in July, but got delayed for Switch. To make up for this, multiple gifts will be offered to Switch players.
It also happens to be the first-ever chapter in the series which will include cross-platform gameplay. Additionally, players can expect a new co-op game mode (2 teams facing off in a police chase), improved game engine, brand new UI and in-game HUD, and more.

Omg what? Missed this news. I forgot it was coming.
It's a total chill out game though. You don't have any pressure to push through and do things, no time limits or enemies.
Just relaxing and sometimes thought provoking routes to deliver your stuff.
Graphics are really good on most non-switch versions too, it'd like exploring the wilderness.
I read about that while back. Wii U owners can't catch a break.
My WiiU is still plugged in, but it was rendered useless years ago. The gamepaddoesn't connect with the WiiU anymore. Don't know if it's a problem with the gamepad, or with the console itself.
Nintendo really half assed that system's hardware quality.
I booted up mine last week after about a year in storage. Still works fine at least. I want to replay Wind Waker HD soon.
The Wii U continues to be the shittiest Nintendo console.Though I guess it still has dome value since I can't play Twilight Princess, Windwaker or Arkham Origins on the Switch.
But yeah, it's a crap system. I squeezed some value out of it by hacking it to play some old Wii games or even older ones, but even those I don't touch too much these days. Maybe in the next house if I set up a proper game room.
My sister bought one but hated it.
My Wii U is still plugged in and hooked up but hasn’t been played in some time. Had to replace the battery pack in the tablet controller a little while ago though. Still wanting to play through a couple of Wii games on it. The Last Story being one of those.
Now I have a full recording view of the car when driving.
No sucker will ever screw me again.
I've left it plugged in only because I can't be assed to pack it away.
I subscribes to gametrailers in youtube, this will be my main method for seeing new games.
Also "I dream of indie" is a good channel, they do a video each week with all the new releases. It's like an indie direct every week.
