Probably best to hit the wind temple first. Go to Rito village.

Think I headed there first and it looked cold and I didn't have a cold suit. So couldn't be bothered and went east.

Trying to get to Zora kingdom but its covered in ooze. Trying to half ass it by climbing but I can only do so much.

On the shrines, is it just me or are they worse than BOTW shrines?

So simple and all physics based?

I think youre supposed to tough it out till you get to Rito and can buy some cold resistant armor. Or check out armor at Lookout Landing.

I figured as much.

Had enough of wandering around cold landscapes, eating recipes then running out.

My trip to zoras kingdom was a waste of time, I had to find a golden fish, but had no idea where it is. The map isn't revealed yet and I have no shrine warp points there.

There's this bird at a tower who says he wants mushrooms at the bottom but I went there, got mushrooms but there's no way to give it to him. Tower remains locked.

So I headed back to rito. Finally realised I was supposed to load a fat korok onto a wagon lol.

Then built a flying wagon for this douche stuck in a pit.

Ok , the mushrooms are not important. Think about whats highlighted in red. Think about a cool new ability that you received that can help you get i side the tower.

The master kohga quest had a fantastic ending. Good stuff, good battles.

Yeah I really enjoyed all that stuff. They were so dramatic and committed to killing Link.

Ah Godamn it.

Am I that thick?!

Went to rito village. Enjoying the game much more now.

Liked how they stored all my old horses from BOTW save files.

Funny how I react to enemies in my current state. I only have like 5 hearts and some enemies can kill me in one or two hits.

So when exploring and I see some giant enemy patrolling with his 3 buddies, I start skirting and sneaking and climbing around them.

Love how you have the freedom to do all that. It also hit me how the developers seem to be giving the player as much freedom as possible.

In old games you couldn't really climb the mountains or glide off them. Now they give you the ability to literally warp under scenary to get to the top. Or skydive down from the sky to the depths. As well as giving you physics and motion controls abilities, and the ability to build things in the world?

It's like they're saying, here, have mastery of this game world, go have fun. Although that doesn't mean that it will be easy.

I just finished and I have to rave about it. It's a fantastic ending, easily the best Zelda finale of the series. Everything from the sword fight, complete with callbacks to Ocarina of Time to the last dive through the sky. So damn good. I love the musical cues from TP to LttP to the very first Zelda theme. It was so exciting. I want sll of us to finish this game just to experience that finale.

I can't believe I spent over a 170 hours on my first playthrough. I never wanted to finish and loved completing the side quests so much that I often stayed away from the main quests. The Switch may not be the most technologically advanced system, but Zelda looks so good thanks to the lighting effects and its art design. I was always in awe of something while playing. I was always certain this would be my favorite Zelda game, but I was on the fence on whether this would be my favorite game of all time. I think it is. It's too great and its been over twenty years since I've felt this strongly about a game. Not since Metroid Prime. A perfect combination of gameplay, graphics  music, and thrilling scenarios.

Sounds great.

I'll probably bleed out all the side quests and fill in all the map before going for the finale.

One thing irking me a bit right now is how weird it looks to be running around with a stick or sword with a rock stuck to the end.

Kinda killing my adventure vibe.

Aw gawd.

Really enjoying the trip up these monuments with the baby bird, all the way skyward.

But sweet Jesus this goes on for ages.

Really loving how there are zero hints in this wind Dungeon.

I'll just think of something randomly, test out to see if it works. Then marvel at the results and how smart I am.

On the other hand I will never work out some bits and realise I need to rewire my brain to Tears of the Kingdom.

Just repeat "You are MacGuyver"

Just finished the game and, wow, what an awesome and epic finale. Still have more Shrines, Korok seeds, and quests to do. Kudos to Nintendo on creating a masterpiece of a game.

I just read that if you take a picture of the food poster then it automatically becomes a recipe. 😳

How the F does that work?

Just got auto build. So cool seeing the Koga riding motorbikes and mad max like vehicles.

Bust into this sky tower fortress with crappy weapons and low health. Snuck about, set up explosive barrels and smoked those assholes. So good.

Also finished the wind temple and boss. Epic boss.

I could scarcely believe what the developers were doing, when I realised everything I played up to this point, was them teaching me all the tricks to stay alive.

And that I was 100% in control of everything that was happening. I was diving under freezing time, popping off shots. Boosting about, dodging tornados. So good.

Wind Temple boss is one of the finest in the series.

So that ending, HOLY SHIIIIIIT! Best final stretch in Zelda history, I have never been more excited to fight Ganon in my life and I've fought him so many times. I still wish the final part wasn't a gimmick fight but hey it's still incredible to see. I also would like some hard puzzles in the final area, it's basically a combat gauntlet. But yeah incredible stuff. This is a top 5 Zelda for me,  doesn't crack the top because I do have a massive list of things I feel it could do better, and in that I mean make my dream game.

BOTW felt like a game that I really really enjoyed but was clearly going in a direction I didn't want to go down. So I would be overly critical of it. This game pulls it back, feels a lot more classic Zelda while also expanding everything that made BOTW so great. But it's not quite there for me yet, it's almost at that perfect blend of the two to make the perfect game and it still comes down to the dungeons and I think excess content. I rather it be tighter with more focused sections as those were the best.
