Europa Universalis III Complete, which includes the base game, and two expansions, Napoleon's Ambition and In Nomine. Also got EU III: Heir to the Throne, the third expansion. All of it for 6 bucks.

For anyone interested, EUIII is a grand strategy game with more variables, options and complexity than real life.

It's poop, but I'll see if it grows on me later.

It has it's fans.  At least it did at launch.

Sounds terrible (for me).  I got intimidated by Halo Wars, which I think most consider a pretty casual RTS.  That kind fo game just seems as stressful as a job.  How do you handle it Steel?

To be honest, I have next to no idea. This would be my first grand strategy game, and I'm kind of worried I might be biting more than I can chew. At any rate, it won't hurt to dive onto the lenghty tutorials (yes, in plural) before dipping my toes in the unknown waters.

I just ordered from 3 different sites the following games

Super Scribblenauts (DS)

Jam with the Band (DS)                     (Don't know what it is, but I heard it was good and it is €6,-. So Why the hell not)

Castlevania Order of Eclesia (DS)

Anno (Wii)

Fragile (Wii)                                         (My trio of most wanted games of 2009 (LKS/Madworld/Fragile) is now complete)

Blastwork Search, Destroy and Share (Vader am cry, the LBP killer)

6 games for the price of €108,40

Not bad, not bad at all

I also saw Rhytm Heaven (DS) for €10,- in a store

Gunstar Heroes 2 (GBA) for €10,- in a store

Wii Sport Resorts heavily discounted in a store. I will probably buy those Monday.

Hobo 4 life

Good games IGA.  Especially Castlevania OoE

I bought Daigasso (the Japanese version of Jam with the Band) years ago from Lik-Sang (fuck you sony I won't forget what you did to Lik-Sang) along with Ouendan.

It was one of the first DS games in Japan ... they announced it then for NA/EU but took the best part of five years to bring it over.

Bought it for $19.96. Really couldn't resist it any longer. I will wait 'til the end of time for any new Phantasy Star;

This one will just keep me busy in the meantime. The add-on, Ambition of the Illuminus, is --FREE-- on Live!

That's a $20.00 value Gratis!

Yes it looks like a PS2 game in high-res. Yes it has groan-worthy voice acting and some REALLY annoying characters,

BUT, I can fight MOTHER BRAIN --AND-- yet another incarnation of Dark Falz on my 360!!

How can ANYONE say "No" to THAT!

Should have maybe gone for Phantasy Star Portable 2 instead, as, according to most fans, it's a return to form, rather than its low point. Although it still looks clunky as ever to me, despite some decent additions.

My box of imports came in, all were from amazon, none were full retail other than 999 and All-Stars.

  1. Super Mario All-Stars LE - I wanted the collectibles.
  2. Soul Calibur 2 (PS2 edition, I got the others at launch)
  3. Redsteel 2 (Now I need a M+) It was dirt cheap, I think $15
  4. WarioWare DIY (Who needs LBP?) This concept really appeals to me, comes with 90 games.
  5. 9,9,9 (DS) Looks collectible, wanted.
  6. Alice in Wonderland (DS) Was voted one of the "best games no-one played"
  7. Knights in the Nightmare (PSP) (Comes with Yggdra Union PSP) ASK made me buy it I think.
  8. Dead Head Fred (PSP) (From the makers of Chili Con Carnage and Total Overdose)
  9. Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing (PS3) Homer. And Sumo Digital made it, they did a great job with Outrun 2
  10. Enslaved: Odyssey to the West (PS3) Itw as cheap and I've haerd a lot of good things about it.
  11. Darksiders (PS3) Homer and Leo's fault.
  12. Red Faction: Guerrilla (PS3) I remember hearing great things about it when it was released.
  13. Butal Legend (PS3) It was too cheap not to buy, even though I am sure I'll hate it.
  14. Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom (360) Leo's fault.
  15. Project Sylpheed (360) Dirt cheap.

Nice. Enjoy the best version of Soul Calibur II.

Otherwise, let me know what you think of Majin when you get around to it. Because I played an hour of it, and got sick of it real quick.

I tell you one thing I have to thank you for Jamie and that was Sonic All Star Racing.  That game is the best kart game I've ever played, and the fan service for SEGA enthusiasts is the best level of fan service I've ever seen (better even than what Nintendo does with Super Smash Bros.).

I was blown away by how cool it was, looks amazing on the PS3 as well, even in split screen.

Yes, and it should also set you up nicely for what I have to propose for next month's gaming club man train game.  But let's see how Darksiders February goes first.

Picked up Dead Space 2 Collector's Edition. Played up to the start of Chapter 2. The game is quite creepy and looks and plays fantastic.

The CE comes with a cd soundtrack, a lithograph, a plasma cutter replica, and a code for a Zealot suit and gun. I would imagine the PS3 version comes with all that plus the Extraction game.

I keep forgetting about this thread. Anyway, here's the games I bought this month (the first 3 games were purchased using Best Buy's Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal):

  1. Epic Mickey - It's, well, epic! Loving this game right now. It's not perfect, but I cares not.
  2. Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Awesome but not as awesome as Galaxy. Feels more like an expansion pack than an all new Super Mario game.
  3. Donkey Kong Country Returns - Awesome, but frustrating at times. Argh! It's a lot of fun as well, and it's packed with secrets and items to find.
  4. Super Mario All-Stars Wii - You can read my thoughts on this collection in my most recent blog post.
