Ah, yes. The Sega Genesis Collection. I've had good fun with that game. Sonic the Hedgehog, Ristar, Phantasy Star, Shinobi, and more. Great games, those.

Unfortunately, I've never actually owned a Genesis/Mega Drive. It's one of many things I missed out on.

But wait! What's this?

Where the heck did that thing come from?

Since my camera skills suck, you probably can't tell what games they are. I'll remedy that right now.

Pac-Attack

Wakka wakka wakka...

Desert Demolition Starring Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote

Just step aside or you might end up in a heap.

Vectorman

This is the future.

The system and games have been tested and it all works. Happy

In terms of SNES vs Genesis. As someone who owned both as a child and then returned to both consoles as time went on I would say that the SNES was easily the superior console.

However the Genesis was certainly nothing to laugh at. If you want some awesome Genesis times buy Snatcher for the SEGA CD and try out Gunstar Heroes and to a lesser extent Dynamite Headdy on the Virtual Console.

I had both back in the day, and I have always considered Genesis to be equal to SNES. Both had such fantastic libraries of games that it would be impossible for me to choose between them. Sure the SNES had some technical improvements over the Genesis, but all that really mattered were the games, and both excelled in that department. Happy

BTW, Sewer Shark was the best Sega CD game ever. Period. Nyaa

I am in no way, shape, or form putting down the Genesis. I know that both consoles had great librarys. Personally I think that the Genesis was better in quanity in terms of line-up, but I've played extremely few Genesis games that were as good as the SNES's top tiers.

I never had much contact with the Genesis.  Basically the only exposure I had were to Sonic and inferior versions of fighting games -- and I never liked Sonic.  So I haven't had much on an experience.

All fighting games on those systems sucked except Real Bout 2 and the console specific ones.

I was Genesis all the way. Nintendo could suck it, SNES sucked.  Genesis had blast processing, Genesis had MK with blood, Genesis had the best sports titles, Sonic >>>>>> Mario.

SEGA!!!

(of course now I realize I was very wrong)

^^^Sadly there are some fanboys still on that boat (Panzer_Zwei along with many of those SEGA fanatics on those SEGA specific sites).
