IMO you should keep your kids away from your games/dvds etc. A locked cupboard, a really high shelf etc.
Knowing Nintendos digital policies I probably would have bought a cheap 2nd hand wii and hacked that, not your original.

you can transfer you games from the wii to the wii u. You can do the same for the ds to the 3ds.

Thank you dude. I was reminded of how aboslutely archiac the Wii Shop download system is. One...game...at...a...time... Fortunately they're all pretty small, but damn it gets irritating to download them all like that. I've recovered about half of them so far. All the ones I think I'll go back and play at any rate. So far the only one I've played was Super Fantasy Zone, but wow was that fun to play again. Glad I finally got around to doing this, and Nintendo gave me no issue during the process at all.
