Thanks gents. Using your adive I used hakchi to add my legitimate librabry to the NES.
Still having trouble getting the SNES to work though, which is where I really want to go to town.
And if anyone is concerned about bricking their system, hakchi does have a way to restore to teh original (I;ve done it 3 times now while I touruble shoot).
Spe nt a few more hours on it last night (cough medicine and beer infused fever) and still cannot get the bloody SNES one to work. Even tried an old Win7 Laptop to start over... 
When I do get it to work shoudl be glorious, SNES is in my top 5 systems of all time, was my #1 for many years.

Yeah, I never would have hacked mine if that option wasn't available.
NES hack worked great. Still not getting the SNES one to work unfortunately. I just don't get why its not working.

Any one tried any soft mod hacks on the above? I understand it is pretty easy but still squeemish about doing it.
