This post does give me some pause to wonder if I've ever been a scumbag Steve before. I'm very rarely given gifts, so I know I can have a tendency to get over excited and forget to immediately say thank you. Though I think I still come around and remember my manners.
If it was Syberia 3 it might have been justified.

I haven't played it myself. Foolz's Steam gift has gone to waste.

Somebody once gifted me Feminazi and its sequel on Steam as some kind of prank gift. Also a game called Bad Rats. I would prank steam friends too but Steam won't let me gift anyone except people in my own region (Latin America).
I remember when you could gift games on the Wii eshop. I don't think any other consoles have it, which is a shame.

I don't understand why that never became a bigger thing. Seems like people would be apt to buy games for friends if the option to do so was as simple as picking a game and then choosing someone on your friends list.
On that note thanks again to Elle, who many years ago got me a copy of StarTropics for the sites anniversary celebration.

I remember that feature being so useful, but do not remember at all what I gifted, so I'm glad you do! It's also weird and annoying when there isn't an easy way to purchase something as a gift for someone
There's no way to gift YouTube Premium, for example. You have to send them a Google Play gift card for them to redeem and struggle to apply as a payment method.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileThanks to Robio who gifted Duck Tales and Zombie U!
Duck Tales ROCKED!. Zombie U? Well, I did not graduate from Zombie U, but I did donate to have the locker rooms refurbished.
So I'll just start this by admitting that Gagan very generously gifted me a game on Steam a few years ago which I never redeemed, because I just did not log into Steam before it expired, so I've committed my own faux pas I the area.
But a few days ago I was playing a game, and I saw that a very casual acquaintance had it on their wishlist. So I bought it for them, and they redeemed it, but did not leave any message. Not so much as a "thanks".
I think this is poor etiquette, what say you? What random act of kindness have you committed with no or negative response?
