I have not yet formed an opinion about it. But since this is the internet and well formed opinions are completely optional and meaningless, I'll just say that I don't condone violence.
I think it hinges on if Rock knew about Jada's condition.
A lot of the time it's assumed that comedians are omniscient. Sometimes they make a bad joke because they simply aren't aware of specific circumstances or politics.
If Rock knew, he's definitely in the wrong.
No way he knew. Again, it's a bald joke even if he did know. Society is absolutely unsympathetic about male baldness, I hear the jokes everyday (about a guy I work with -- I have hair like Fabio).

I'm Team Rock. It's not his job to keep up on every celebs medical condition. He's a comedian, so far as I am concerned the best alive on the planet.
Do a gender reversal and substitute, say Kurt Russell in his prime, and the joke is just that.
Also, I am pleased this is the number one story above Covid, climate shange, Ukraine etc... lol
