The most ignored Official Nintendo peripheral was not the E-reader. It was this piece of shit:
Gamecube Ethernet Adaptor.
When you were talking about the Sony and what they'll do with their next gen console I had a nasty flashback to an arguement with Carnage regarding why Sony should have waited an extra year on the PS3 launch. I need to punch somebody now.
You know I think the biggest stumbling block for the Motion Plus was Ubisoft and Red Steel 2. That's game's delay screwed up everything. When it missed launch, all of the hype for it essentially faded into nothing. Had it launched aside Wii Sports 2 as planned it's sales probably would have been much better and I think more developers would have developed for it.
Also, don't forget WiiWare darling Rage of the Gladiator uses it, and actually makes you realized was a MP Punch-Out would be like.
Yeah that is strange that Sega never did more with the Wiimote. I mean, this is the company that came out with maracas controllers for Samba De Amigo. They couldn't figure anything else out?
When the revolution comes, you will all pronounce "Robio" right. People are already marching towards the site, so you'd best fall in line now.

They were still stumbling through growing pains with Sammy for a lot of the Wii's existence. You'd think with their franchises the Wii could have been a Dreamcast 2 though.

I disagree. I think by the time the M+ came out they had already lost support. And then Nintendo did their usual peripheral neglect abuse.
It was weird being NPD week and not having it even mentioned on the podcast.
Even though they weren't giving out numbers any more I thought there would be leaks.
I guess if you charge -- what -- something like $12,000 a year for access to that data, you don't want all the value being lost. They don;t haev their prices up on their site like they used to.

I'll talk about it next week, so much with Nintendo it wasnt even worth it.
Also, I disagree with your take on Enslaved. Yes it's a Uncharted clone -- and that's great -- we need more of them. Uncharted is an amazing game, why not copy it, particularly when the entire 360-exclusive user base has not been exposed to it.
Just as with Uncharted you can't fall in the platforming sections, but later in the game there are challenges introduced to make platforming more challenging -- like having to time flames, gears, falling suppports.
The characters are well considered and touching -- there are plenty of humorous moments and the combat can be enjoyingly challenging.
They also added a tactical component, with you directing Trip around. Vehicle levels, the cloud hover board, the complexity to the main characters relationship -- all made for some original and enjoyable gaming.
It gave me hope for the DMC re-boot.
The mini game in BioShock is based on Pipe Dream!

Anyone else remember how the VIRTUAL CONSOLE wasn't even announced until it was a few weeks/months before the Wii Launch? Cafe is certainly being approached differently, but I still believe Nintendo will reserve some facts as surprises!

I completely believe you will hear Project Cafe details BEFORE E3. Yes, as early as next month, just before the rumored price drop. Around the same exact time as the release of the Black Wii last year.
This E3 will be ---ALL--- about 3DS.
