Happy birthday to the VGPress!  Let’s have a party to celebrate.  Many thanks to Yoda for keeping this site going.  Many, many thanks to Gamingeek for his dedication to the site.  You are both certainly appreciated!

What are your fondest memories?  Favorite threads?  Who posted here that is now missing?   Any favorite Alt accounts.

Big whoop! Time flies, I would have sworn I'd only been here for 6 or so  Nyaa  Thanks to Leo, who kept buggering the abandoned Virtual Underground at Gamespot for members to come here, which I did in the end, once it became clear to me that the VU community had stopped to be relevant to me. Hopefully this place can keep it up for many more years to come!

Interesting choice of words there, Supreme. Nyaa

Anyway, this probably makes us notable enough to make it onto the wikipedia list of anarchic communities! Great work, comrades, especially Yodarikunin who blessed us with our freedom after the great revolution!

I think you mean badgering or bugging. The word you used means something very different.

Ten years. Wow.

So much has changed. I miss a lot of people, wish that Bugs stuck around and want to see more Iga. Hope Punk sticks around. Since I got locked out of my neogaf account I haven't been able to draw more people here. Shame that many more Gamespot friends didn't come over. My tastes have changed somewhat. I wish there were more people here into Anime or Music to talk too. I've resorted to watching reaction videos on youtube to certain songs. Makes me feel like I'm sharing the experience with other people. Can't be assed to set up a new account and post on Anime specific boards or anything.

Work is all consuming and I've generally lost enthusiasm for most things. I need to travel more.

My favourite VGPress memory has to be when I was running out of time to sell Animal Crossing turnips and I used 24 and Jack Bauer to desperately seek them out. The thing is, I actually felt that urgency to sell these damned things before they rotted. So it was a desperate rush.

Also online Animal Crossing sessions with Bugs, SteelAttack and Travo were great.

Where is Steelo? sad

Wow, 10 years. Well technically it's been 9 for me, but that is one hell of a milestone so congrats Yoda and thank you again for this place.

As far as my favorite memories, there have certainly been a lot. Stories about me and my buddy Miyamoto, Dark Robio rants, podcasting with many of you gents, Leo's annual Top 10 and the eliminations that run up to it, seeing where everyone lived on the Wii U's Google Earth app. I could go on for a while.

Leo threads were fantastic, especially when he would eliminate games.  Can’t believe I guessed his number one once based on his PS activity.

There was this awesome thread which I will never be able to find.  It must’ve had about a dozen alts.  Classic stuff.

I know the 5th anniversary thread had all of the alts come back. There were a couple others though. God they were funny.

Speaking of podcasts, surely we can come together for a ten-year anniversary podcast?

...

...

I'm very inflexible at the moment, but would be willing to try and make something happen. If that fails, perhaps there could be separate American and Australian anniversary podcasts?

(GG, Supreme, and any other Europeans are just as welcome to participate, of course.)

I'm down to pod. Things get dicey next week, but this week my evenings are open and pretty much my entire weekend.

I'd enjoy listening to an anniversary podcast. I've never partaken in a podcast myself, let alone heard my own abysmal accent, and I doubt my eloquence would hold up in real time. The hours would also be neigh impossible for me.

So that's about all the excuses I have for not taking part. However, I feel that I could be easily swayed into giving it a shot. Y'all can still edit me out afterwards.

Also, I am very much aware of the meaning of the word buggering, and I stand by what I said earlier.

I may be able to record on Friday and Saturday around 4:30-8PM, GMT + 10.

Does that fit the criteria for anyone else? I may also be able to to record at other times, if anyone wants to throw out other suggestions, but probably not until next week.

I don't know what I'm doing here (blame Foolz, as always), but I've been here on and off for most of those years. I was (am) kingkilla3 on GameSpot, but I don't think anyone here knew me there (other than Foolz). While I'm here, my name means Red Tea and it rhymes with Red Sea in English. I've used it nowhere else at all and it's gratuitous Spanish. No sé por qué lo uso.

Is your parrot still around? It wouldn't be a vadercast without your bird in the background.
