My favourite isn’t necessarily a ‘moment’ per se but it’s a whole game mode and that would be Horde mode in the Gears of War games.

Ah, good times. I remember playing that with you and some Gamespot friends.
Resident Evil 4 is the greatest game ever made. Makes sense that it's the greatest at one of these. Since it's also the greatest escort mission and third person shooter ever. Leon Sebastion Kennedy, what a legend.

Spoken like someone who has never done a raid.

Unless the argument is the use of the word "whole" (in which case fair the raids aren't trash, completely), uh incorrect. I've done Vault of Glass, the Crota one, and the King's fall one. Considering the supremely shitty hours of nothing of worth you have to play for one mildly decent extended coop session, I stick to my stance that the game is trash. Besides in the context of this thread, it fits. Most of the missions are go to the thing, have ghost ball scan thing, oh look enemies are coming at us. Kill them. Have more fun waiting for elevators to turn on/come down in Dead Space 2, probably because the combat is better.
I haaaaaaaaaaaate Defend this moments or sections in games. Having yourself tied down in a particular spot, trying to defend a single point or character whilst enemies offscreen run around the back of you and destroy whatever you were supposed to be defending.
They are boring, repetitive and usually are just there for padding and lack of ideas. I did one such mission in Warframe recently. With 4 online gamers together we had to fight off waves of alien solidiers. They came in wave after wave and apart from being a bit more difficult near the end it was the same thing, wave after wave and boring AF.
It got me thinking about all the other defend this moments in gaming. I can only think of one good one, RE4 when you had to defend the cabin. So good was it that RE5 and even Revelations 2 tried to do something similar, but were utterly average in comparison.
So what are your best and worst? Anyone remember defending Natalya?
