Its that good? I didn't want to return to AMC since their streaming/broadcast quality has always been awful. As a Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul fan, I've suffered through many broadcasts where the image is so bad I struggle to make out what's happening on the screen.
I do wonder if the series will tackle all of the books, maybe one season per book?

I know there are plans to do more than just Interview, but I don't know the rate that they're going to do them in. The showrunners have already said this isn't going to be a series that stretches out for a decade since actors age and vampires do not.
I cant wait for the Body Thief episodes. That was my favorite of the series.
I've never read any of Anne Rice's books. I only vaguely remember the 90s film.
I read Interview with the Vampire last year and I liked it, which can only mean that I will not watch a TV show based on it. I gave up on the movie when the actors were too recognisable.

That's one of the main reasons why I don't watch Belgian series and movies. It's always the same actors.

The problem is I just don't watch TV shows in general unless they're old comedy or anime comedy. Or wrestling (comedy).

Show updates as we are in the midst of the most nerd era of tv in history. A LOTR show, a GoT show, a Marvel show and a Star Wars show all at once.
House of the Dragon: The best of the bunch, just incredible tv. Every episode has some important event and the family drama is top notch. Acting is superb, writing is great, the effects stunning. It moves so fast, maybe too fast for some but it means there are no boring episodes. Loving it so far.
LOTR Rings of Power: the most beautiful show I have ever seen, clearly we can see the budget at work. This one starts off too slow and some of the characters have been poorly developed until just recently. The last episode was fantastic and hopefully a sign of things to come, they really need to get the plot moving. Lots of potential, kind of a bland first season.
Andor: WOW! This feels like an AMC or HBO drama show more than some pew pew silly Star Wars show. The acting is top notch, acting so far is miles ahead of any SW show. Episodes go by with not a blaster fire and it's thrilling TV with proper character development and skillful writing that makes you care for these people and the situations they are in. Definetly has the potential to be the best Star Wars show yet.
She-Hulk: Fun marvel sitcom that is enjoyable to watch but it's mostly fluff. It doesn't take itself seriously enough to really be compelling and it's not funny enough to be a great sitcom. I appreciate the effort. The lead actress carries this show, she is fantastic but it's kind of just there as a show.
2. The Boys on Amazon Prime - this might have been one of the hardest shows I've ever had to watch. It's extremely funny but holy crap it gets super uncomfortable. It's basically a much more cynical take on what it would be like to have superheroes in the real world. Instead of doing it for the good of man, it's all done through a corporation that markets and promotes them like The MCU. It's really well done, but can actually get a bit tough to watch. The gloves are off in just about every way on the show.

Agreed on both. The boys in particular is amazing.
LOTR is done, very uneven season with loads of setup. I feel not much happened and in the end they tried to play off these season long mysteries as amazing reveals but everyone guessed them already. I still have hope for future seasons.
Now Andor, WOW!!! Travo you watching this? Might be the best Star Wars show.
Life has been crazy busy, so I havent started it yet. I may start during a vacation day, don't know.
1. See How They Run (HBOMAX) - depending on your interpretation this is either a spoof or a tribute to old Agatha Christie movie/stories. The aesthetics in setting and film style do a nice job of lending itself to a classic "who done it's" but honestly those are probably better to watch. The movie was just full of so many winks and nods trying to remind everyone how clever it was. It's not. Honestly, skip this.
2. Pearl (VOD) - this is the prequel to Ti West's 'X' the Texas chainsaw massacre tribute/70s porn tribute film from earlier in the year. I thought X was one of the best horror movies of the year, but I can't quite say as many good things about Pearl. Mia Goth gave a hell of a performance, and there's a lot of nods to big musicals from the Golden Age of hollywood. Unfortunately it just didn't quite click.
The movie is supposed to be about a young woman, Pearl, and her descent into becoming a serial killer. The problem is, at no time in the movie is she really likable. You can feel a little sympathy for her, but she just comes across is irritating more than anything else. Because of that it's just hard to really feel much for her. But I will still give West some credit in that there are some real twisted and screwed up scenes in this movie. So if you like screwed up horror movies, this still might be worth watching.
1. The Invitation - this is a classic case of a really interesting idea that was completely botched. It's a very different take on the classic Dracula story, but was ultimately ruined by an attempt at making it for younger viewers and getting a PG-13 rating in the process. In a few years, I think this is going to be on a lot of those "what bad movie needs a remake" list because they're truly was a lot of potential here.
2. Creep (2014) - this was a nice little surprise. This is a found footage indie movie, sort of like Blair witch or paranormal activity, but nothing supernatural about this. A guy dying of cancer hires a videographer to make a video for his unborn son. The whole experience starts out weird and progressively gets weirder. You're never quite sure if this is an awkward guy with brain cancer affecting his cognitive ability, or if he's genuinely dangerous. Really uncomfortable to watch, but I'd actually recommend it.
I just watched the first three episodes of the Willow series. I'm enjoying it quite a bit so far.
On a less positive note, AMC Plus is one of the crappiest streaming services I've ever come across. Aside from Mad Men, I'm not sure there's anything I want to watch. They even bundle Shudder (horror streaming service) with it so I thought that would be something worth having. I had it a year ago, and in that time I don't think they added a single thing to it. And honestly, it wasn't very good even back then. Just low budget or cheesey stuff for the most part.
