Yeah, I've been thinking about GRAW all week and how big that was earlier in the generation -- and how now it;s basically disappeared.
From the Quotes of 2010 story, I'll edit one down and say "HEAR FUCKING HEAR"
“All gamers deserve a happy ending...”
- Randy Pitchford president of Gearbox
999 news posts and no good news for 1,000!
You mentioned it, that and many other things which finally got my lazy ass to check out the account settings options. I will revert back to visible, I was only testing.
The Wii version is different from the HD versions, different stories, level design, powers etc. Both games got a lukewarm reception, overall the wii game scored slightly better in reviews but they both look weak to me.
I hear you. What makes it worse is that because they are blood, you can't just cut them off.
This is the video I recorded earlier in the week of Halo Reach AI.
This guy was stuck and because he wouldn't follow me I could not progress.
But it got worse, last night I was working my way across this bridge. The humans were standing at the foot of the bridge looking ahead and doing nothing. There were Brutes running about in front and behind them, not shooting either. They were like a metre away from each other and did absolutely nothing. And I could stand about 10 metres away and just watch this freak show.
Reach has gotten more enjoyable though, I love the powerups like the sprint, shield lock, jet packs etc. Really mixes things up. Everything else like the Corvette attack and the city stuff still seems very quiet, and it doesn't have the bold, audacious vibe of past Halo games. It's a decent game but it lacks the Halo feel for me. Level designs aren't great either, but I'm saying this after coming off Goldeneye where every level apart from two were superbly executed. I've just gotten past the bit where you fly in the gunship around the city to help people escape. How much further do I have to go?
DKC Returns has gotten better too, the crumbling canyon stuff is pretty exhilarating. It's just so polished and consistent I can't really deny the quality of the game. It's very well done. My only complaints would be that I can't switch to Diddy Kong in single player and the jetpack controls are painful. It can be a little too harsh on a few levels. It's a pretty decent homage to the past games and is better executed overall.
Wait, the Red Steel franchise is at 2 million?
Well this is interesting because the first game sold 1.2 million.
Ubisoft slashed Red Steel 2 sales estimates to 500k before launch but this means it has sold 800'000 which has exceeded their expectations. The game was seen as a commercial flop but these sales say otherwise.
So I was watching G.I Joe last night and saw that Cobra (the bad guys) had introduced Robot soldiers.
This is a side view, front facing you can see the distinctive shape of the helmet visor....
A coincidence? I think not!
Er... Gamasutra's most underated game of 2010 is:
I don't know what reviews they were looking at but this game got a boat load of 9/10 reviews.
Gamasutra are most likely idots that should be beaten within a inch of their life and tossed into a mine shaft just like xbox fanboys.....
GG, have you played Fallout 3? I know you're not online, but what is your gamertag?
I completed Fallout 3 a while back, and I did all but 3 of the sidequests. It's a decent game but I really love Oblivion so I couldn't help but compare.
I do have a gamertag, MS made me create one so I could send my 360 in for repairs but I can't remember it, I think someone else has the gamingeek tag already.
Get you a new gamertag so we can add you. You'll have to get online sometime soon. I want to plan a huge VGPress gaming night.
I don't even know how to hook this thing up to the internet, I don't have the cables and it's too far away for cables anyway. I wish it were wireless. But then the wireless signal from my router is too weak to go upstairs without the connection constantly being lost anyway. Just give up on me.
Never! Never leave a man behind!
I also have no headset.
I do have a hard drive now, with nothing on it but game saves.
You don't need a headset. You can be the silent partner.
Just finished RDR.
