The Press Room Episode #102 = headline
BTW you can no longer download the Pressroom, our official podcast of the site, but I do have all the files when I started producing/ editing it.
It's probably better than you can no longer download it, but the lack of professionalism continues with The Game Under Podcast with me and Foolz.
Regular hosts were SteelAttack, Dvader, Yoda and of course DarthHomer and Foolz. I jumped into the fray when I realized Yoda was taking on WAY TOO MUCH with what he was doing on the site so compassionately offered to take over editing (with ZERO knowledge of how to do it). Surprisingly he accepted my offer so I quickly had to figure it all out. And it was painful. The audio quality sucked, everything was not synched and half of the shows had to be edited out due to tech issues.
I'll get to the rest of this another day, but I'll mention here so he doesn't feel left out that Robio played a very important role later in the story.

Digging deep into the treasure trove there.
Oh wow, the grilled cheese vodka chapter of my life. Gads I was young. And look at that hair!!! Oh those were the days.
The blog is still up, not sure why you can't access it. But the gist of it was I had gotten into a phase of infusing alcohol (i have left and returned to that phase many times since). A friend saw that someone else did a grilled cheese vodka infusion and then challenged me to try it. I didn't love the idea, but I cave like a bitch to peer pressure. The results are in that video, and it wasn't as awful as you might think. I sampled it with friends later and we did agree that adding some tomato soup to it was a nice match. It still nothing I'd ever try again.
That said I did come across some wonderful infusion receipes over the years. The best two were whiskey. One was adding apple, cinnamon, and and vanilla beans to whiskey which makes a drink that tastes like apple pie. And another great whiskey infusion was adding honey and habenero. It made a nice sweet and spicy whiskey.
I do miss the podcasting days. The horror convention webcast I've been doing for the past 8 years is coming to an end this month, so I've been kicking around the idea of doing a Generation X themed podcast, to keep doing something in that realm. However it seems like every person over the age of 50 who has a microphone is doing one.
Yesterday, I installed KeeperFX, a fan mod for Bullfrog's Dungeon Keeper. It vastly improves the game allowing it to run with modern resolutions, fixes bugs, and adds modern controls too. It was a fairly easy mod to install and works perfectly with my Gog version of the game, which normally runs at a painfully low resolution. It's a really fun game, so far.
Was it made by anyone involved with the original development? I cannot imagine anyone else being so passionate about it that they would go to that effort. That's incredible.
Not that I'm aware of. I'm always amazed by the great lengths fans will go for their favorite games.
So hot here (36 degrees celcius - 96 farenhiet) over the weekend but still got plenty of farm work done.
I did start 198X which is thus far a unique interweaving of presenting retro arcade experiences against a coming of age narrative. It was developed in Sweden so there is a something about it that is slightly awry in it's telling fo a tale that appears to be set in the US.
We'll see how it goes, I am about 3/4 of the way through it. I expect a dark narrative turn.
I working through Resident Evil 4 again, trying to kill time until Indiana Jones releases tonight.
Been mostly playing through Final Fantasy IV Pixel Remaster this weekend. Tried some Marvel’s Rivals as well. It’s a good looking and pretty fun game but the general gameplay loop of these type of games just doesn’t seem to be my thing.
And I'm also still playing Pokemon Platinum on TikTok. I still don't get why people watch this stuff.
