Kill a character, his body lies on the ground. Kill many, their bodies lie on the ground.
They never used to move then did they? But now thanks to the awesomesauce injection of next gen technology, when you walk your character into dead bodies, they fly about like balls in a pinball machine. Yes, you can have fun just looking at the ground and walking, watching human, robot or monster bodies (most probably weighing several times more than you) get bounced about like a tissue on your kneecaps.
It was the best thing about Bioshock and just as good in Dead Space, I could even stomp on body pieces!
How fun. Not as fun as MGS2's little ministeps over dead enemies of course. But fun nonetheless.
So what's next? Maybe I could flex my little toe next time and watch the body crumble into atoms with the use of next gen physics?
Next gen: moving gaming forward since 2005.
So much for realism.
I never bothered messing around with dead bodies in games.
Fahrenheit doesn't count.
In real life the bodies just kind of bounce back when you kick them (IMO).
You know what is fun? Piling the bodies up in a corner by walking into them and herding them like sheep.
