Yeah, I noticed.
That final bit right before the credits roll is something straight out of a sergio leone film.
I wish I knew who you were talking about --BUT-- I've never voluntarily watched a Western before in my life. I got tricked into watching 3:10 to Yuma last year and I wasn't overly impressed...
That's another reason why actually liking Red Dead came as such a shock to me!
Sergio leone was an italian filmmaker, director of movies such as "Once upon a time in the west" and "The good, the bad and the ugly", among others widely recognized as staples of the genre. The movies belong into a subgenre called "spaghetti western" because of the people involved in their making.
I just completed DK Jungle Beat. As said before the final space level was a dissapointment, but I did finish it in one try with 1000 bananas. Good, won't have to play that level ever again.
Getting 1000 bananas in all the level opens up the 'real' final boss. Which is identical to the previous final boss. Beating this final level with 1000 bananas opens up a boss rush mode called Kong of the Mountain. Here you fight, Dread Kong, Karate Kong, Ninja Kong, Sumo Kong and Ghastly King in a row with only 500 bananas in between them. Beating it earns you 800 bananas, so you will need 200 left to get 1000. Finishing that with 1000 bananas will open of the last level, banana bonanza or something. This is a very short level with no enemies and lots of bananas. If you use a combo and you do not touch the ground while collecting the bananas you will easily earn 1000 bananas. Finishing the last level with 1000 bananas will get you a message that you truly mastered every world and from now on, DK will carry a crown.
Now about the game. You can truly see the inventiveness of the team. Many things that will become staples in Galaxy started in this game, like bite sized levels, the graphical style, the ice skating, candy motif, 2D swimming controls, bodies of liguid suspended in mid air and more. But there are some bad points too. First the game is short, you only have 20 kingdoms, 16 kingdoms just have 2 levels each and one boss fight. The other 4 are just one level each. If you want to run trough the game without worrying about the high score, you can finish the game in a single weekend.
Speaking about the bosses, they are crap. You fight the same variation of three bosses on four seperate ocassions. You have the bird, the hog and the stupid elephant. Plus you fight 4 kongs in a very simplefied Punch Out like setting. All in all, they are shallow and not as much fun as the rest of the game.
The best part is the score attack. When you start comboing various moves, like wall jumps, back flips and ground pound to collect bananas without touching the ground and enemies. Slowly you hear clapping in the back ground and then you keep comboing and finally they cheer Kong..Kong..Kong. Best feeling ever.
If you think of Galaxy as a Mona Lisa of gaming. And you can do that, for it is the VG Press GoTD (Game of the Decade), then Donkey Kong Jungle Beat is a sketch of the Mona Lisa. You can see the greatness in it, but is is still rough around the edges. And if Jungle Beat is the sketch, then Galaxy 2 is the leaked sextape of Mona Lisa. Even better than the original, with Mona Lisa proving to be an epic slut and doing crazy stuff you never tought possible.
Guess what I was forced to play this weekend...
...Just Dance and Just Dance 2.
Um...don't ask.

Kirby sewable patch reward from Club Nintendo has a flaw:
Slow news tehse couple of days.
I've been playing BC2 while waiting on a friend to join me. I thought I would try to get some experience by playing some quick matches, but it doesn't seem to work that way. Does anyone know if you can build experience with quick matches?
It's been awhile since I played BC2. I know that it tallies up everything you did at the end of the game. Also, one of my friends said that the servers weren't tracking stats. He asked me to look up what the problem was and it looks like Dice is having server problems again. It's keeping your stats but you just can't see it on the screen. I think the servers are overloaded.
But that's just from my experience. You should ask Ragnar on Gamespot. He'll probably know a lot more about the game.
