I put my dog of 15 years to sleep today. One of the hardest things I ever had to do. She's been paralyzed on her back legs for almost a year now, it was a spinal disease that slowly took her ability to walk. But I bought her a brace with wheels that she used for a time before she couldn't even use that. Then I would just carrry her with a harness for months, walking with her, taking her out and such... I probably should have done it then but she was still in ok spirits. Over the last month she had some enlarged lymph nodes which is most likely cancer. She started to pant and whine a lot which she never did. I knew it was time then, I had this week off work so I spent it with her, gave her as much love and attention I could and today took her, she went peacefully.

I am a mess though, obviously. I'll be ok but this sucks.

I feel kinda privilaged that I am able to play Cyberpunk more or less "the way it's meant to be played" due to having a realtively decent PC.

Games as good but a bit weak in the role-playing deparment and the game had nothing really to say about the society it created. It also had lots of bugs, even for a PC launch title.

One of the site's forefathers.

Play fighting games!

I feel your pain. It was so miserable having to put down my cat when he was 18 and cancer was eating away at him. You try and keep them alive and then in retrospect you realise it probably would have been better to end things sooner. It's heartbreaking. You sound like you did more than what could be expected to give her a good life and care.

I'm sorry about that Vader. I understand the pain. Putting down our dog when we found out she was ridden with cancer hurt like hell. But you got to remember, if she had a good life then you did your job.

Sounds like you gave her the best life possible. Always sad to have to say goodbye to a pet though. I’m sorry for your loss.

I was reading up on some MH weapons and read somewhere that you can switch weapons during a quest if you go in your tent at a campsite.

Mind. Blown.

Yep this is true. I'm not sure if that becomes something more important in Iceborne, But in the main game I only switched weapons during battle one time and that was during the Kulve Taroth Siege. His weaknesses change after he loses the gold plating, and it's not uncommon to die during that battle and find yourself at camp so it works out as an opportune time to switch up your gear.

Well it's not a feature I'll be using a lot, as you always know what types of monsters you'll be up against up front.  Still, I didn't know it was an option to do so.

And now we're on the matter of MH World: I really hope Capcom find a way to let you play the whole game in Co-op.  Now whenever there are cutscenes involved in a quest, you can't depart together with someone else.  You have to start the quest, wait for all the cutscenes to have passed and then either forfait the quest or send out an SOS flare.  For a game that embraces co-op play, this is a stupid way of doing things.

Yeah and you can also switch armour as well. It definitely comes in handy for some hunts in Iceborne. Some have you fighting against Velkahna and then Val Hazak and other various mixing and matching of monster types.

When I bought my Oculus Quest2 late last year, my biggest reason for doing so was to be able to show off my designs to clients in glorious VR-o-vision.  I wanted to show something to a relative last week and I couldn't connect to their server to confirm my license.

I checked online and every link pointing towards their website was down. Narry an explanation in sight anywhere on the internet.  This program is dirt cheap in comparision to the competition and was created by 3 East-European coders, not to mention that it works wonderfully with the Quest 2, offering features that no other (much more expensive) middleware can match.  after scouring the internet for half an hour I managed to find an emailadress of one of the creators and just sent him an email, asking if they had just ditched the whole thing and closed up shop.  That was late in the evening 2 days ago.  Lo and behold, he actually answered me on Saturday, explaining how the firm who hosts their website lost its certification to sell .eu domains due to Brexit.  Hrm

Of all the things that could have resulted in the program going down, Brexit was the last thing on my mind.  Anyhow, they're working to get it fixed early this week, so all's well that should end well.  yes

Yeah, we haven't yet dug in to the quests that have you hunting more than one beast at a time.  I'll definitly try it out when they do come arond.  And not mention this to my co-op mate.  cheeky
